It is in
the parameter setting you will be able to indicate which are your accounts to
be protected (2 in the standard version and 5 in the professional version),
the question which you wish to put for the unknown shippers, the answers which
you will accept.
Additional
options enable you to indicate to which frequency you wish to check your accounts,
to send a mail of alarm to you when an unknown user try more X time to
contact you, automatically to pass in Black Liste a user which wrote
more X time to you , automatically to destroy the mails which are in quarantine since more X days
(it is acted in fact of people not having never answered the question that you
sent to them).
Here now the representation of
the parameter setting and instructions for this one:

- Enter the NAME of
your account: johnsmith@wanadoo.fr, eric@laposte.net, martintremblay@videotron.ca ...
- Enter the identifier
of this account (this is provided to you by your provider):
Myname@wanadoo.fr, XyztuVJ....
- Enter the password for
this account (this is provided to you by your provider).
- Enter the POP account
used for this mail account. It is in fact of
the server charged to dispatch you your mails. This information is
normally provided to you by the company which manages your maills.
Example, for Wanadoo, the POP account is pop.wanadoo.fr
- Enter the port of the POP
account, normally 110.
- Enter the name of your server smtp: it
is the server responsible for the sending your mails. The simplest solution consists in using the Server smtp of your active connection . If you want to manage a Wanadoo address while being
connected by Free, it will be necessary for you to enter in
parameters of the Wanadoo POP server (pop.wanadoo.fr)
and server smtp of Free (smtp.free.fr). Please note that the
address of server smtp does not always start with smtp but sometimes with POP.
- Enter the port of account
smtp, generally 25
- This button enables you
to test your parameter setting. It is essential to click on this button in
order to check that all is correct.After you have clicked on this button,
the system will first send a maill by your server smtp to the site www.spamoutsystem.com . The mails currently present in
your mail box will be indexed in the zone J. They will not be touched by
the syteme as long as you will leave them in this zone. This
enables you to preserve mails that you would have stored beforein
your account.
- If there is no error
at the end of the test, please check this box. As long as this box is
not check, the system will not function.
- They are the mails
existing in your accounts before the installation of SpamOut System ™. As long as you leave
these address in this place, they are not touched by the system this
thus enables you to preserve all the existing mails before the
installation. If you remove addresses of this place, those then will be
automatically challeng.
- Enter the time of storage
of the mails, here 10 days. After this time, the people not having
answered your question will be removed the quarantine lists.
- Enter the frequency of
control of your accounts.
- This will send an
"administrative" mail to you after somebody tried to contact
you X time without answering your question correctly.
- This passes in Black Liste any person who
tried to contact you more X time without answering your question
(eliminates for example the automatic answers)
- The question which you
wish to put. We advise you to choose a very short and very simple question.
- The answers which you
accept.
